“Snow Know-How” is this year’s title of the “Asia Pacific Snow Conference” within the framework of ispo china/ALPITEC CHINA from February 19 to 21 at the CIEC, China International Exhibition Center, in Beijing.
The “Asia Pacific Snow Conference” will open on Friday, February 20 at 2:00 P.M. in Pavilion 2 of the CIEC, China International Exhibition Center, in Beijing. Experts from China and Europe will report about their experience in the construction and operation of ski areas. Other topics will also come up, such as geological requirements, meteorological conditions, and strategic considerations of locations. In addition to the selection of the site in consideration of the catchment area and many other factors of a technical and strategic nature, the financial factor will also be discussed. For example, Alessandro Marzola, owner of a ski area in the Dolomites, will explain a business plan for a ski area in which the strategy and the goals have been worked out, as have all of the management and financial aspects of a plan. An entrepreneur from China will report on an example of the genesis and development of a ski area in China, while Bo Halvardsson from Scandinavia’s larges ski area operator, Skistar Group, will speak about topics such as vacation destinations, customer service, marketing, and the development of offers.
ALPITEC CHINA will include exhibitions by Chinese and international companies featuring the following products and services: ski lift facilities and accessories, equipment and machinery for setting up and grooming ski runs, snowmaking systems, cashier systems and admission controls, survival equipment and mountain rescue implements, time measuring devices and accessories for equipping competitions, leisure time equipment for snow parks, machinery and materials for the repair and maintenance of winter sports equipment, and much, much more for the operation of a ski area.
In addition, within the framework of ispo china/ALPITEC CHINA, a podium discussion will be held about rentals and service in winter sports, and there will be product presentations by ispo and Alpitec exhibitors.
