With “Klimaenergy” and the conference tradeshow “Klimahouse Roma, the Bolzano Exhibition Center will present two new tradeshows in 2008 and will organize a total of 17 events under its own management, added to which are four guest events that have already been booked.
The year will kick off with the successful tradeshow Klimahouse from January 17 to 20. A fully booked exhibition center with over three hundred exhibitors will once again be subjected to a trial by fire with extreme visitor interest from all over Italy. The three-day conference is being organized in cooperation with the agency KlimaHaus/Casa Clima and offers room for four hundred people.

Two relatively new tradeshows follow in February with Sportitaly and Viatec.
Sportitaly is the only tradeshow in Italy for the sports business, and it got off to a good start last year in spite of a moderate 2006-07 winter season. The Sportitaly team hopes to make a breakthrough with the second edition from February 10 to 12.

Viatec is a highly specialized tradeshow for road construction and infrastructure management in mountain regions. It will be held from February 20 to 22 and will be accompanied by a conference. It is directed at managers of road construction and maintenance in communities, districts, and provinces; officials and technicians from motorways and national highway agencies; engineers, surveyors, and construction companies.

2008 is once again the year for the popular tradeshow for the general public, Arredo. It will be held on two weekends in March (7 to 9 and 15 to 16) and, as always, will be accompanied by interesting special exhibitions on the topic of furnishings.

ProWinter, the International Tradeshow for Rentals and Services for Winter Sports (April 9 to 11) has been consolidated for the better and now takes place in even years along with the International Tradeshow for Mountain and Winter Technologies: Alpitec, including the conference, will be held in 2008 with the motto “100 Years of Cable Car History in South Tyrol” and is already practically fully booked.

At Freizeit from April 24 to 27, 2008, the main focus will be on flowers with the “Florita" show, but sports enthusiasts also won’t come up short at this event.

All those interested in art should circle May 22 to 25 on their calendars: to coincide with the opening of the new Museion in Bolzano, the fifth edition of Kunstart, the International Tradeshow for Modern and Contemporary Art, will open.

For 2008, the Autumn Trade Fair places the main focus on health. Once again this year, it will take place on two successive weekends in September (12 to 14 and 19 to 21).

Tan&Nails set for October 4 and 5, is the exotic event among the tradeshows in Bolzano. This tradeshow for the tanning and nails sector is being organized in cooperation with the German publisher and tradeshow organizer Health and Beauty.

Hotel is one of the crowd pullers on the calendar at the Bolzano Exhibition Center and emphasizes the strengths of this sector in South Tyrol. It will be the meeting point for hoteliers and restaurateurs from October 20 to 23, 2008.

When Klimaenergy, the new Tradeshow for Renewable Energy for Industrial Use (October 8 to 10) and the conference tradeshow Klimahouse Roma (October 23 and 24) are added, the subject of energy will also be one of the leading tradeshow topics in Bolzano. At a time of ever higher energy costs, Klimaenergy is oriented above all else toward sectors with high energy needs, such as industry, the hotel trade, handicraft, and public institutions.

The year will be rounded out by one specialized tradeshow and one tradeshow for the public, both in the area of agriculture. With visitors from thirty-four countries and a worldwide level of recognition, Interpoma may well be the most international of tradeshows in Bolzano. It will be held November 6 to 8. Biolife, on the other hand, will take place from November 14 to 16 and is poised to establish itself as the leader in Italy, since this tradeshow is based upon quality rather than quantity.

Guest Events 2008
For the sixth time now, the Italian Darts Championship will be held at the Bolzano Exhibition Center with three thousand competitors from all over Italy. The three-day competition (January 4-6, 2008) has filled hotels in Bolzano and vicinity.
The motorcycle scene will rendezvous at the Bolzano Exhibition Center from February 22 to 24, 2008. According to the organizer Amo Deverling of the magazine Noise, the motorcycle tradeshow BurnOut drew 130 exhibitors and 16,000 visitors to the southern section of Bolzano.
Additional guest events at the Bolzano Exhibition Center include the in-house tradeshow of the company Selectra with sixty exhibitors in late May, and the Rabbit and Bird Exhibition of the South Tyrol Ornithological Society in November.
