In the centre of Bremerhaven, a unique theme-based attraction with a scientific basis is being constructed: Klimahaus® Bremerhaven 8° Ost. Three clearly structured exhibition areas of over 11,000 square meters show the visitors from spring 2008 the whole world of climate. Every year, 600,000 visitors will experience a fascinating journey along the 8th line of longitude around the earth through different climate zones. The elements section of the exhibition illustrates the simple principles and complex inter-relationships of climatic and weather phenomena in an entertaining way. In the perspectives section the visitors can take a look at the past and the future of our planet and create their own weather forecasts. Furthermore Klimahaus® offers facilities for different events like congresses, conferences, symposia etc. and will also assist schools to facilitate learning.
